Meet Clayton Falk
I'm a Registered Psychologist and Canadian Certified Counsellor. I firmly believe that every person, including you, has the strength and capacity for growth, even in the face of life's most difficult challenges. My goal is to help you tap into your own resources, offering support and guidance in a way that feels both impactful and comfortable. At the same time, I bring my expertise into our sessions, drawing from over sixteen years of counselling experience to ensure that you're receiving the professional guidance you're seeking. I honour the trust you place in me by combining my skills with a compassionate, individualized approach.

Before becoming a psychologist, I worked in various fields—from electrical work to being a volunteer/paid-on-call firefighter, emergency medical responder, correctional officer, and youth service worker. These roles shaped my understanding of resilience, problem-solving, and the human capacity to overcome adversity, all of which inform my approach to therapy today.
As a co-founder of Effective Solutions Counselling & Consulting Inc. and Airdrie Counselling Centre Inc., I'm deeply committed to creating a therapeutic space where you can feel safe, understood, and encouraged. Outside of my practice, I'm a husband and father of four, and this part of my life has deepened my empathy and connection to the people I work with.

Counselling Statement
Your step towards therapy is a brave one, and I honour your courage. I integrate effective treatments such as solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioural techniques, and more with a compassionate, tailored approach to meet your unique needs. Believing in each person's inherent strength to overcome life's hurdles, we will work together to unearth and bolster your inner resilience, providing you with the tools for positive change and enduring resilience.
Couples/ Marriage Counselling Statement
Our intimate relationships are foundational to our happiness and well-being. Yet, they often get neglected in the busyness of daily life. Just like we regularly maintain our cars, homes, and physical health, caring for our relationships and mental well-being is equally crucial. Couples/marriage counselling isn't just for overcoming challenges; it's also about maintaining a 'check-up' or 'tune-up' for your relationship, which can be incredibly beneficial.

Employing a range of proven methods, including the Gottman Model solution-focused strategies and cognitive-behavioural techniques, I'm dedicated to assisting you and your partner in navigating challenges and enriching your connection for a healthier, more fulfilling partnership. Whether you face specific issues or wish to deepen your connection, counselling offers a valuable space to explore, rebuild, and strengthen your bond.
